Qualifications:
• Minimum of a two-year degree in related field
• Minimum 3 years golf course experience.
• Qualified Applicators Certificate (QAC) or able to obtain one in 3 months.
• Basic Spanish speaking and written skills are a plus.  
• Must be self driven and possess a strong work ethic with the ability to effectively delegate and multi-task.
• Must have good computer and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail skills.
• Must be able to hold staff accountable to complete tasks in a timely fashion. 

Responsibilities:
• Schedule and supervise the day-to-day activities of all employees to meet the established golf course standards stated in the golf course maintenance business plan.
• Pesticide and fertilizer applications.
• Safe operation of all equipment by staff members.
• Assists in the management and operation of the irrigation system and part-time watering crew.  
• Review the golf course daily for adherence to the course standards and documents conditions.
• Accurate record keeping of daily tasks and projects.
 
Compensation:
• $38,000-$40,000 annual salary.

Education Requirements:  Two or four year turf management (or similar) degree  preferred. California Qualified Applicator Certificate acquired or ability to acquire within 30 days of employment.

Experience Requirements:      Candidate must have knowledge of all chemical and fertilizer application equipment. Candidate must also have the knowledge of operating and calibrating the following equipment: backpack sprayers, rotary spreaders, and spray tanks. 
 
Special Requirements: Spray technician is to work directly under the Golf Course Superintendent and the Assistant Superintendent and assist in all chemical and fertilizer applications. Candidate must be detail oriented, skilled in pesticide documentation, and able to perform under adverse weather conditions.  Candidate must also be able to perform other tasks as delegated by the Superintendent. 

Salary Range:   14.00/hr, based on experience
