Las Positas Golf Course is a municipal facility owned by the City of Livermore, CA. 18 hole Championship, 9 hole Executive
Position Summary/Purpose:
Under supervision of the Superintendent, the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent provides additional support and leadership to the Golf Course Maintenance department.
This position is responsible for aiding the Golf Course Superintendent to manage the activities of the golf course maintenance staff
Additionally, the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will aid in keeping all equipment in an efficient, operable, and safe condition
This position assists the Golf Course Superintendent in the successful growth and operations of Las Positas Golf Course.
Educational:
Either a 2-4 year degree in Turf or related field or a Turfgrass / Landscape maintenance certificate preferred
Experience:
2 years with supervisory experience a plus. Experience in golf course product application and water management

California QAC or ability to obtain

Qualifications:
Minimum of a two-year degree in related field
Minimum 3 years golf course experience.
Qualified Applicators Certificate (QAC) or able to obtain one in
3 months.
Basic Spanish speaking and written skills are a plus.
Must be self driven and possess a strong work ethic with the ability
to effectively delegate and multi-task.
Must have good computer and organizational skills.
High attention to detail skills.
Must be able to hold staff accountable to complete tasks in a timely
fashion.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and supervise the day-to-day activities of all employees

Assists in the management and operation of the irrigation system
and part-time watering crew.
Review the golf course daily for adherence to the course standards
and documents conditions.
Accurate record keeping of daily tasks and projects.
Compensation:
$38,000-$40,000 annual salary.

Assistant Superintendent
Riverview Golf and Country Club
Riverview Golf and Country Club is currently seeking a motivated individual
for the position of assistant golf course superintendent of an 18 hole
private golf facility located in Northern California.
A minimum of a two year degree in Turf Grass Management and at least
four years experience working at a private facility are required.
Applicants must be able to obtain a California QAC. within 90 days.
Knowledge with a computer irrigation system recommended. Experience
with Bent Grass greens in warm weather a must. Duties include supervising
maintenance staff, scheduling, training, fertilizing, pesticide application,
recordkeeping, and purchasing.
